Four key changes
Xbox has pushed out a new update for the UI on their mobile app and console dashboard giving users easier access to achievements, multiplayer, Game Pass, and download speeds.
Beginning to roll out today (and expected to be available to everyone by months end) Xbox mobile app users will now be able to view monthly leaderboards to see how they stack up against their friends in terms of achievements earned. The ability to view and track these achievements via the details page of games will also be included.
The UI of Xbox Game Pass on the console dashboard will now display a 'Play with Friends' button whenever a user hover over a title that currently has friends playing - meaning you can jump right into a joinable multiplayer session from the dashboard.
A new Xbox Game Pass 'recommendations' tab have also been added on the console's dashboard helping users find new titles based off previous gameplay history. Collections of genres such as horror, sandbox, fantasy, first-person shooter will also appear under a separate tab.
And finally an option to suspend active game sessions that may be using bandwidth will be available to help speed up game downloads or patches that are operating in the background.
