The Witcher 3 – Next gen update

PR Manager gives update in tweet

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released in 2015 to critical and commercial success. Originally available to PC, PS4 and Xbox One, developers CD Projekt Red would later port the game (alongside Saber Interactive) to the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

Now CDPR will bring the acclaimed action RPG to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, taking advantage of their more powerful hardware. These upgraded versions of The Witcher 3 will feature faster loading times, ray tracing, higher framerates as well as visual and technical improvements.

CD Projekt Red’s Lead PR Manager, Radek Grabowski writes in his tweet:

"[In case you missed it], the next-generation update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming in the second half of 2021"

The game will be available as a standalone purchase on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, and as a free upgrade for owners of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions (Switch version is excluded).
