Success continues for Unknown Worlds
Subnatuica: Below Zero's review embargo has lifted a full 3 days early (Sony take note..), with most critics praising it as a successful follow up to the 2018 smash hit Subnautica. The title is currently sitting at 82/100 on Metacritic (PC).
Many critics have noted how San Francisco studio Unknown Worlds have effectively built upon the solid foundations of the first game, presenting players with gorgeous underwater environments, satisfying survival and crafting mechanics, and an intriguing story line. One area where the first game fell a bit short was on the technical side of things, with frequent FPS drops and the occasional crash, however it appears the bulk of these issues have been tided up for Below Zero.
