Subnautica: Below Zero Cinematic Trailer

Get your peppers cooked and water stocked!

Developer Unknown Worlds has graced us with a two-minute Cinematic Trailer for their upcoming release Subnautica: Below Zero. If you're unfamiliar with the franchise, Subnautica is an outstanding survival-adventure game that pits players against the open sea depths of an alien planet, and the many creatures that lay below.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into what players will encounter as they attempt to survive the harsh below zero climate, and presumably unravel the mysteries that await them. We're shown a rather large selection of brand-new species to discover (and probably escape from), as well as some returning creatures like the cute but exploding Crash Fish.

Perhaps the biggest change over the original 2018 smash hit is the addition of larger on-land environments for players to tackle - which looks to be just as packed with things that want to eat you for lunch! We do really love the adorable penguin creatures though and cannot wait to see how they feel about us.

Subnautica is out in exactly one month from today on 14th May, and will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC.
