Lower the sails for now
Earlier this month we reported that Ubisoft's PVP pirate game Skull and Bones would be delayed until April 2022, but now it seems that date may no longer be feasible as reports emerge that the entire development is being scrapped and started anew.
According to someone familiar with the inner workings at Ubisoft, the dismissal of the Managing Director at their Singapore Studio where the title was being developed, has caused the team to restart production of the title from the ground up.
GameLuster have dug deeper into the story and revealed that the new alpha build of Skull and Bones seems very similar to Rare's hit pirate game Sea of Thieves.
We'll of course keep you updated on any further developments.
