Many new enhancements featured in upcoming remaster
Originating in 1989, SaGa, Square Enix's lesser-known RPG franchise has constantly been overshadowed its more renowned Final Fantasy series.
With 15 titles in the series and limited mainly to Japan, 1997’s SaGa Frontier was the first game in the series to be released in North America, on the PlayStation console and to use the SaGa branding outside Japan*.
Now this cult favourite is being released to PAL territories for the first time and is getting the remastered treatment. The new trailer informs us that the game will be receiving updated graphics, cutscenes, events, enhancements, and a new playable character.
The remaster will release on April 15 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Android and iOS.
Anyone eager to play this old school RPG for first time ever?
*The first three SaGa instalments were branded as Final Fantasy Legend games outside Japan for the original Game Boy.
