Days Gone 2 petition reaches over 80,000 signatures

Momentum growing for petition

Petition for Days Gone 2 gaining more momentum.

More fans have come out of the woodworks to show their support for a Days Gone sequel. Earlier in the month we reported that the Change.org petition had hit over 17,000 signatures. Now the amount has tripled at over 80,000.

John Garvin, writer and creative director of Days Gone appeared recently on David Jaffe’s YouTube channel and raised headlines by saying gamers should not “complain if a game doesn’t get a sequel” if they didn’t buy it “at f—king full price”.

"I do have an opinion on something that your audience may find of interest, and it might piss some of them off," Garvin said. "If you love a game, buy it at f--king full price. I can't tell you how many times I've seen gamers say 'yeah, I got that on sale, I got it through PS Plus, whatever'.

"Don't complain if a game doesn't get a sequel if it wasn't supported at launch."

Garvin’s statements drew negative responses from fans on social media and game forums. Nevertheless, fans are continuing to support the petition in hope Sony changes its mind. In the meantime, you’ll be able to pick up the PC version on May 18.

Do you believe the petition will eventually cause Sony to have second thoughts?
