Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga delayed

Traveller’s Tales says more time is needed

As part of the popular Lego movie theme series, The Skywalker Saga was first officially announced at E3 2019. A second trailer on YouTube later revealed a release date of October 20, 2020 that was promptly cut off and reloaded again.

Until today the game had a release window of Spring 2021, with developer Traveller’s Tales announcing on Twitter:

‘All of us at TT Games are working hard to make Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the biggest and best-ever Lego game – but we’re going to need more time to do it. We won’t be able to make our intended spring release date, but will provide updated launch timing as soon as possible’.

Whether the reason behind the delay is COVID related or development struggles or both is not yet known.

Published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, The Skywalker Saga is the sixth Lego Star Wars game and encompasses film episodes I-IX. It features 300 playable characters, iconic settings from the films with 45 levels. The game will release on PC, PS4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.

How do you feel? A bit bummed about the delay or you understand the reasoning?
