Batman's sidekicks - Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Red Hood star in new video game

First shown at DC FanDome 2020, Gotham Knights is a Batman-less action RPG starring his sidekicks; Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hood. Originally set for a 2021 release on PC as well as both previous and current generation Sony and Microsoft consoles, Warner Bros Games announced it would be delayed.

Their full statement on Twitter:

Gotham Knights will now launch worldwide in 2022 - We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players. Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months.

No strangers to Gotham, WB Games Montreal previously worked on Batman: Arkham Origins. This game though is not part of the Arkham series and will be an original story. Unlike Arkham, which were solely action-adventure games, Gotham Knights is an RPG and features a two player multiplayer mode.

The story follows the four playable Gotham Knight characters in their quest to fight rampant crime after the apparent death of Batman.
