Gets new Iki island expansion
Sucker Punch have made it official, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is indeed heading to PlayStation 4 and 5 on August 20. This enhanced version contains the original game along with the new Iki island expansion, while the PS5 version gains some exclusive features.
PS5 users will see the cutscenes in Japanese lip synced to match the voice overs of the characters, as the console has the ability to render cinematics in real time. The PS4 version however will not include this upgrade.
Speaking of upgrades, PS4 users can upgrade their save file of the game to PS5 and pick up where they left off. For new players, the Iki island expansion opens up in Act 2 of the story.
As expected with games getting PS5 upgrades, 3D audio, shortened load times, 4K resolution, 60 FPS, controller haptic and adaptive triggers will all be included.
A new patch will release improving gameplay mechanics while the online content Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will receive new free updates.
