Plus a closed network test has opened

FromSoftware announces delay in Elden Ring

FromSoftware’s upcoming open-world RPG Elden Ring will be delayed from January 21, 2022 to February 25, 2022.

Their announcement on Twitter states the delay stems from ”the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations." Essentially, FromSoftware need more time to ensure there is no crashes or game-breaking bugs.

Also announced is a closed network test for gamers (aged 16+) to try out between November 12-15. This test will be used by FromSoftware to see how the quality of Elden Ring can be improved. The registration closes November 1.

The five sessions over the three days:

  • Session 1: 8pm. - 11pm AEST, Nov. 12

  • Session 2: 12pm - 3pm AEST, Nov. 13

  • Session 3: 4am - 7am AEST, Nov. 13

  • Session 4: 8pm - 11pm AEST, Nov. 14

  • Session 5: 12pm - 3pm AEST, Nov. 15

It must be noted that the network test is supported for consoles only and not on PCs.
