Disco Elysium: The Final Cut refused classification
Aussie gamers miss out

The nation’s Classification Board has put a kibosh on Disco Elysium: The Final Cut entry to the country.
ZA/UM’s unique RPG title contains crime, violence, cruelty, drug use and addiction feature prominently in its story. For these reasons, the Classification Board gave it an RC (Refused Classification).
The game was set for release on March 30 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Mac and Stadia. The original version of the game became available on Steam beginning from October 15th 2019 and was not rated.
This decision by the board is unlikely to stop gamers from buying the game via another regional account.
Is this the right choice by the Classification Board? Should the game be given an R18+ rating instead?
