Recent attack by hacker blamed
Announced on the games' official Twitter account, the latest Patch 1.2 has been delayed due to the recent cyber attack on CD Projekt Red's I.T infrastructure.
Earlier this month, an anonymous hacker infiltrated the company's I.T network, threatening to ransom off the source code for Cyberpunk 2077, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and The Witcher 3 (including an earlier unreleased version) to an online auction. In addition, sensitive corporate information regarding human resources, legal, accounting and other sectors were claimed to have been stolen by the hacker.
CDPR is aiming to release Patch 1.2 in late March and promises it will be the largest update for the game. The game experienced a disastrous launch, ridden with constant bugs and crashes. A source of constant criticism directed at the game, CDPR has been releasing hot fixes to address smaller bugs. Add another to the list of delays Cyberpunk 2077 has endured the past two years.
